Cleaning Heat Sink of a Laptop – Things you should know

Posted on 03:42 by Unknown

Regardless of what you are – a share broker or a miner – and what environment your laptop is used in – the backyard of a Wool Factory or the desk an air-conditioned corner office, cleaning a laptop is necessary. When I say cleaning, I mean total cleaning, not just the scrub marks or oil trails on the screen and the plastic body. To make it simple, cleaning all the necessary parts of the laptop including the parts inside is crucial. It is not a matter of hygiene; the matter here is whether your laptops survive to see its second birthday. Visit any of the thousands of the tech support forums hosted by servers around the globe, what they all say is, your laptops life depends on the way it is handled and serviced.
Laptop Servicing
Laptop Servicing is the process in which the hardware components of laptops are serviced. These compact things work under heavy duress and so their life expectancy is very low. If something else is going to add the pressure, just like taking an old geezer on an armed robbery, then it’s just a matter of time; servicing is what keeps laptops on the line for a long time.
But the problem with paid professional servicing is that it’s costly and not everyone can afford it. If you ask me for a personal opinion about paid laptop servicing, I would say with absolutely no remorse “It’s a waste of money”.
If you can do it, why would you pay someone to do it?
Laptop servicing is costly. But it can be done very easily by a normal person with the help of guides. You can download guides for variety of laptops from different tech support forums. Basically, cleaning a laptop is very simple and if you don’t plan to buy another one in a year or two, here are some instructions that can be helpful.
1. You should purchase a Laptop Servicing kit (screwdriver set & cleaning tools like blower).
2. Open up the back cover fitted over the cooling fan by removing the screws.
3. After removing the lid, you can see a fan and a copper sink. Remove the fan carefully and detach the connecting cable from the motherboard.
4. Now use the air-blower and a tissue to clean the dirt on the sink, fan and the exhaust slots or grills.
Assemble back the parts you have removed and you are done.

Posted on 04:33 by Unknown

In order to configure columns and lists in your Microsoft Word document, you can set up tabs. Microsoft offers four types of tabs left, right, center and decimal. According to our Microsoft help team, you can set these tabs in two ways. Well, given below is a comprehensive account on both the ways of setting up tabs in a Microsoft Word Document.
Setting up Tabs Using the Ruler Toolbar
• Start out the process by opening the View menu. After that, you need to click on the option that is labeled by “Ruler.”
• Now, you need to look for the small box at the left end of the ruler. When you locate the box, you need to click on it until the type of tab you want to insert left, right, center, decimal is displayed on your computer screen. In case you are unable to tell what a tab is from the picture on the button, you need to press the right mouse button and move your mouse pointer over the box.
• Once you do that, you need to click on the horizontal ruler in your document window in the position where you would like to place the tab. This will open up a tab mark on the ruler.
• Following which you need to press the Tab key for moving to your new tab stop.
Setting Tabs Using the Tabs Command in the Format Menu
• Choose the text to which you want to apply tabs.
• Next up, you need to go to the menu named “Format” and click on the “Tabs” option.
• Here, you need to choose the alignment you want for the tabs you are setting.
• Now, you need to type in a number in inches in the box named “Tab Stop Position.”
• Finally, end the process by clicking on the “Set” button for setting up the new tab stop.
